an activist in the field of persons with disabilities, has been the Coordinator of Disability and Inclusion Services Center at the Islamic University of Gaza for over 10 years. She has also worked as a trainer for many courses related to persons with disabilities, training media professionals in disability issues, assisting students with visual impairment in using Braille, raising awareness of persons with disabilities’ rights. Nesma obtained her bachelor and Master degrees from the Islamic University of Gaza, and she is now working toward her PhD at IUG. Nesma’s primary research interests are trends of integrating students with disability in higher education organizations, inclusive policies and practices within the project titled “Disability under Siege” and the practical reality of female graduates with disability.
